Robert Crossman Joins BTG as Head of Sales – BTG Instruments - Americas
We are pleased to announce that Rob Crossman joined BTG Instruments on March 1, 2010 and assumes the role of Head of Sales for BTG Instruments, Americas. Rob comes to BTG from Imbrium Systems, a maker of advanced storm water treatment systems where he was Group Manager since 2005. Prior to that he held various sales and sales management assignments over a distinguished 15-year career with Hercules Incorporated’s paper chemical business in both Canada and the US. He is a native of Halifax, Nova Scotia, but now resides in Mt. Airy, Maryland and is married with two children.

BTG HIRES TTC (TOTAL TISSUE CAPABILITY) SPECIALISTS
In spring 2008, BTG launched Total Tissue Capability (TTC), a one-stop product & service package to help tissue makers cut costs and optimize their process, combining know-how, services and products from both the Instruments and the Duroblade divisions. In order to enhance the concept, BTG has hired two industry specialists to conduct and evolve the project: Mr. Jeffrey Peters, tissue Application Mgr - Amercias and Mr. Ian Padley, tissue Application Mgr - Europe. They will both be responsible for the BTG Group efforts to enhance our product and service offer to the tissue industry, combining BTG Instruments and BTG Duroblade under the product name TTC, each in his geographical area.

BTG LAUNCHES NEW CREPING DOCTOR FOR CHIPPING-PRONE APPLICATIONS
In keeping with our strategy to constantly develop products that help raising productivity and cutting costs, on December 15th, we launched a new blade for the Tissue segment, Duroblade-Velvet.
The development of this blade was based on the aim to enhance tissue softness while reducing the amount of furnish, leading to cost savings on raw materials.

Effective October 1, 2009 Rainer Rauch, former Sales Manager Central Europe of BTG Instruments, was appointed Head of Sales Europe. In this role he will assume full responsibility for leading the sales and service across Europe, Middle-East, Russia and South Africa. Rainer Rauch will optimally organize the sales and service network cross-nationally and focus on a customer friendly sales and service approach. Key account management is also a very important responsibility.

STRATEGIC COLLABORATION BETWEEN ROLF MEYER GMBH AND BTG
BTG Eclépens S.A, Switzerland, supplier to the Pulp & Paper Industry and the inventor and manufacturer of the original high-performance printing blade Duroblade®, and Rolf Meyer GmbH Germany, manufacturer and international supplier with 40 years’ expertise focused on the illustration and packaging printing business, signed a worldwide collaboration agreement on August 17th, 2009 and which will start to take effect on the 1st of September 2009.
Rolf Meyer GmbH, market leader in printing doctor blades, high-performance knives and spare parts for the printing and packaging industry will take over sales and marketing activities and sell BTG´s Duroblade under the new product name of RMB DuroBlade, for flexo and gravure applications. BTG, with its unique manufacturing know-how will continue manufacturing the blade.
